Hello Colorado History travelers,
As summer is coming to an end, so is our summer study. The trip to Denver on Aug 22, covers inventions and the Industrial Age, with a focus on architecture and big cities. It will be a neat trip with an opportunity to see some of this big city and ride the light rail. The cathedral is a beautiful place and a work of art with amazing architecture.
How are your students doing on their journals? If you are part of the Colorado History Study, Tina Green is offering 2 times for the learners to meet at her home to work on journals and share their summer adventures. Wednesday, August 17th, from 2pm to 4pm OR 6pm to 8pm. If you plan to come, please RSVP by Monday, Aug 15 - Tiffs_dad@hotmail.com . Please attend only one session as there are 5 slots open for each time. Tina does not have the room for siblings to attend, so it's OK to drop off your learner.
Upcoming field trip:
September 1st, Thursday - Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum at 1:00p.m.
We will share our journals in the meeting room where we met earlier in the summer and then take time to go through the museum. The Museum closes at 4p.m. Tina is planning about an hour and a half to share journals, with a break - bring a snack and drink. Then we all will be free to visit the museum.
Also in October the Colorado History Museum in Denver will reopen - TBA
